Hindrances to Healing
Inner healing is essential for our well-being, but there are common obstacles that can impede this process:
Unforgiveness: "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." - Mark 11:25
Negative Thought Patterns: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." - Philippians 4:8
Fear and Anxiety: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." - Philippians 4:6
Dissobedience: The Book of Deuteronomy 28:15 - "But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, [all these] curses will come and overwhelm you."
Lack of Self-Care: "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Distractions and Busyness: "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." - Luke 5:16
Isolation: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Addressing these hindrances with prayer, Scripture, and seeking support from a community can lead to profound inner healing.
